Our Story

Allan R. Bock and Albert P. Collings founded ABC Press on September 12th, 1949. By combining their initials, the name ABC Press was created.

The current owners Curtis and Jason Roper are fourth generation printers. Their great grandfather Elmer Roper started in the industry on May 3, 1907. On March 1, 1932, Elmer formed Commercial Printers Limited in Edmonton, Alberta. Elmer’s son Lyall started his apprenticeship at the company in 1934, and became general manager in 1957.
Elmer and Lyall expanded the company into
a successful business that they sold in January 1970. Lyall's son Ron started his apprenticeship in 1965 and was plant
manager when he left to purchase ABC
Press in 1979.

Curtis and Jason along with the staff strive to maintain the tradition of satisfying clients through their unique mix of quality printing, competitive pricing, and outstanding customer service. Please contact one of them for more information or to discuss the details of your next project.
